We have a new plan!
Researchers have found more plastic particles than fish larvae in the Danube; more than 4 tons of plastic are washed into the Black Sea every day. The project "cleandanube - swimming for a pure and plastic-free river"
is committed to clean water, the protection of the Danube and the preservation of its unique natural landscapes.
For this, the "swimming professor" Andreas Fath is going on a long journey - from August 2021 he will swim through the most international river in the world for two months. 2,875 km. From the Black Forest to the Black Sea.
The transnational project "cleandanube"
provides the population along the Danube with competence for environmentally friendly action for a unique river landscape, the pollution of which by macro- and microplastics is neither adequately perceived nor effectively prevented.

After 18 years in the Nibelungengau, we are now finally going into early retirement, our captain and also the ship!

About our MS-Marbach
In autumn 2002 I found out by chance that this ship was for sale. After a brief consideration, the ship was bought and then renovated with a lot of effort and love. From June 15, 2003 the MS-Marbach is now in operation. We have already been able to organize many beautiful parties and celebrations!
Whether a milestone birthday, wedding, company party, club party,
our guests enjoyed the beautiful ambience, the tranquility by the water and the wonderful surroundings in the Nibelungengau.
For reasons of age, we will stop event shipping in 2020and move to new surroundings by ship. The exact details have not yet been determined, there are various options, it is certain that the captain has not yet lost his desire to travel. That is why we are currently concentrating on the implementation of this very interesting project "Cleandanube - swimming for a pure and plastic-free river"
and would like to help make the Danube plastic-free!
